Spiritual Realities

What does the material world arise out of — and what lies beyond it?

Launched in 2019, Spiritual Realities is Robert Wallace's long-running exploration of mystical Christianity, Anthroposophy, Theosophy, meditation, consciousness, comparative religion and the unseen dimensions described across spiritual traditions.

How to enter the archive

Follow a question rather than a chronology.

The archive records a developing conversation rather than a finished course. Listeners can begin with a person, tradition, or question that already interests them, then use search and episode descriptions to trace related themes across the series.

Some episodes explore Christian mysticism and the meaning of the Kingdom of Heaven; others turn toward Anthroposophy, Theosophy, meditation, consciousness, or comparative religion. The perspectives belong to their speakers and their moment in the conversation. Publication here preserves the record; it does not convert every statement into Robert’s present conclusion.

Where a public audio file survives, it can be played directly on this page. Source links remain available so the original publishing context is not lost.

Why return now

An archive can show how a question develops over time.

Listening years later changes the experience. Some ideas may feel more developed than they did when first discussed; others may reveal the assumptions of their moment. That distance is part of the value of an archive.

Spiritual Realities can therefore be heard in two ways at once: as a record of conversations from 2019–2024 and as a set of prompts for present inquiry. The episodes do not need to agree with one another in order to remain useful.

The most interesting question may be less ‘Which speaker was right?’ than ‘What became possible to ask because this conversation happened?’

Titles and descriptions are kept as their original publishers wrote them. Where a platform exposes no description, none is invented, and covers marked as show branding are the programme's own artwork rather than a still from that recording.

The question

The Kingdom of Heaven

The thread running through every episode is a single inquiry: what if the Kingdom of Heaven described in the Gospels is not only a place after death, but a reality that can be approached in consciousness now — through attention, practice, moral development and inner work?

This is a spiritual and philosophical inquiry, not a scientific claim. It is offered as Robert's own research and reflection, drawing on Christian mysticism, Anthroposophy, Theosophy and comparative religion — an invitation to investigate rather than a conclusion to accept.

The practical question is what such an idea asks of a life: whether greater attention, moral imagination, prayer, study, or service changes how a person meets ordinary reality. The archive keeps that inquiry open without asking listeners to accept one metaphysical system before they begin.
